Meet Ashley

Ashley is a caring and professional therapist who utilizes an eclectic approach of treatment modalities in her practice at Inner Canvas Counseling. Ashley has over 20 years of experience in art therapy and is trained to provide diagnostic assessments and psychotherapy in a variety of formats. Ashley’s clients always have the option to create and engage in the art therapy process but are never pressured to do so. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and feedback to help clients effectively address life challenges.

Art therapy intervention is highly personalized and tailored to each client. It is typically those clients that feel that they are "not creative" or "can't draw" that tend to enjoy and realize their talents/potential the most. With compassion and understanding, Ashley works to assist each of her clients in building on their strengths and in reaching their personal growth goals.  Ashley has years of experience in providing care to clients in schools, hospitals, family settings, domestic violence shelters, and community mental health clinics.

Ashley typically works with adolescents, college students, and adults in an individual therapy setting, but she also enjoys supporting younger children, couples, and families too. With active participation in therapy, almost all of Ashley’s clients report increased success with the incorporation of healthier lifestyle choices and increased relaxation into daily life.
